What is Engage International?
Engage International is an Assemblies of God World Missions program for college-aged students. It is designed to give students the opportunity to respond to the call of God in their lives.
This is accomplished by immersing students into a new culture and by providing hands-on training. Engage students will have the opportunity to develop lifetime ministry goals, working together with career missionaries and assisting national pastors.
The mission of Engage is to provide opportunities for students to pursue ministry experience while acquiring higher education. It seeks to fulfill that mission by:
- Providing regionally accredited education through partner schools.
- Creating cross-cultural ministry experiences on the mission field.
- Mentoring students to be Christ-followers.
- Collaborating with national churches.
Can I apply?
Engage is open to students of Christian faith and teaches a biblical Christian world-view. The admission policy of Engage requires that:
- All students must be 18 years old to enter the program (and at least 16 years old to apply).
- All students must have a high school diploma.
- All students must enroll in college course study.
- All students must have had a born-again salvation experience as indicated in John 3:3.
- All students must agree to abide by the code of conduct as outlined in the Engage Student Handbook.
How does it work?
- Complete the pre-application form.
- Complete essay questions.
- When your essay questions have been received by Engage, you will receive a user ID and password to complete the online application with references.
- Completed applications and references will be processed and you will be notified of acceptance.
- Upon acceptance to Engage, you may apply to the college or university of your choice. Refer to the university’s website for enrollment procedures.
- Prepare yourself for the experience of a lifetime!

Financial Aid
Engage costs vary from site to site, and are in addition to college tuition costs. Students may apply for financial aid for college tuition costs through their chosen university or college. Funds for Engage costs may be solicited as missionary support through your church, by fundraisers, or sponsor request letters. Donors may also receive tax credit for charitable contributions.
